Luis started working in the floral industry in 1990 and is knowledgeable in all aspects of sales, growing, shipping, and accounting. Luis began his growing production in 1996 in the Central Valley area. In 1997 CalMex opened its doors for business. Together with his wife, Esther, they were able to grow and eventually open a second operation in Watsonville in 2009, Fiorebella. Now in his 23rd year as a business owner he is happy to work alongside two of his three children.
