The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a goal of honoring all interred veterans across the country. They began handing out 10,000 flowers to visitors at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) in 2011. In 2023, over 300,000 flowers were placed at ANC, with an additional 200,000 flowers sent to various cemeteries throughout the country.
The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation logistically supports the distribution of flowers to visitors at local cemeteries and procures its flowers from a network of over 100 flower growers, importers, and wholesale florists. Their transport partners, Armellini Logistics and DV Flora, ensure that the flowers arrive on time at Arlington National Cemetery. Active Volunteers support and sustain the floral distribution at the cemetery locations.
