Life In Bloom Visits Flower Icon Phil Rulloda and Green Point Nurseries Flower Farm
As we inch closer to the April premiere of Life In Bloom, more web-exclusive bonus content will be revealed each week on uBloom.com.
In the video that just premiered at uBloom.com, J visits with California Flower Icon, Phil Rulloda, AIFD, at his home in Fullerton. The season premiere of Life In Bloom (episode 701) is devoted to celebrating Phil and his on-going legacy in the Flower Industry. “I very much enjoyed spending the day with Phil - interviewing him and, of course, his wife Cathy – and filming a showcase of Phil’s Flower and Foliage trademark designs for the show,” said J.
“But there’s more to see than what can fit into the show! I attempted to make an arrangement in Phil’s style and had the pleasure of his thoughtful, no-holds-barred, critique afterwards. Phil is such a wonderful force for Flowers and positivity, and I basked in his energy, and every moment that we spent together – especially during the critique!” J continued.
There’s nothing like a Flower Farm Tour, and there’s a unique American Grown video coming to uBloom.com on February 24. Eric Tanouye and his family & team give J a tour of this CalFlowers member’s Tropical Flower Farm, Green Point Nurseries in Hilo, Hawaii. This location filming was made possible in part through a supplemental grant from the Hawaii Floriculture and Nursery Association, in addition to CalFlowers’ major underwriting. A two-part episode about Lei Day, Flowers’ importance, and the culture of lei, is featured in Season 7 (episodes 704 & 705).
In addition to the segments which will be featured on public television to a nationwide audience, expanded and web-exclusive edits are created and available to watch on the uBloom website. These videos are also made available at no cost to each farm or business to share with their fanbase as they see fit.
Don’t forget, all CalFlowers members, have FREE access to Life In Bloom content PLUS paid subscriber sections of the website. Email Jordan Richardson and she will facilitate a free membership to the entire library at uBloom.com
“I can never express my gratitude enough to CalFlowers, its board, and members for their major financial support of Life in Bloom,” said J. “It means everything for me and my team to continue to deliver the positive impact Flowers and the Flower Industry have to a nationwide audience – Flowers do so much good for each and every one of us!”
